CAN Interface

Configuration of bodywork interface: crane 01

Bodywork interface prepared for e.g. Palfinger crane. Only preparation with programming for CAN communication and engine speed, no physical parts are included.

Available engine speeds:

  • #1 = 1000 rpm and maximum vehicle speed 10 km/h.
  • #2 = 1500 rpm and maximum vehicle speed 10 km/h.
  • #4 = 1000 rpm, in other standard setting.

Standard setting is 500 rpm with maximum vehicle speed 5 km/h.

Configuration of bodywork interface: crane 02

Bodywork interface prepared for crane which is driven by the EG power take-off. The electrical connection is made on connection C259 in the bodywork central electric unit.

The preparation includes:

  • Control signal for the crane and power take-off to only be activated when the gearbox is in neutral position.
  • Remote control for start and stop of engine.
  • Engine speed #1 preset to 950 rpm.
  • Message and acoustic signal in the instrument cluster that warn of unloaded supporting legs in combination with the crane being used.

Configuration of bodywork interface: crane 03

Bodywork interface prepared for crane which is driven by the EG power take-off. The electrical connection is made on connection C259 in the bodywork central electric unit.

The preparation includes:

  • Extra control for remote control of power take-off.
  • Control of air suspension is switched off on activation of power take-off.
  • Engine speed (#2) preset to 900 rpm on activation of power take-off.
  • The hazard warning signal is switched on when the power take-off is activated.
  • Indicator lamps in the instrument cluster that warn of unloaded supporting legs in combination with the crane being used.
  • Message and acoustic signal in the instrument cluster that warn of unloaded supporting legs and disengaged parking brake in combination with the crane being used.

Configuration of bodywork interface: crane 04

A specific connector is supplied with the vehicle together with instructions for the bodybuilder. When the connector is connected and signals are connected according to the instructions, the air suspension will be locked when the crane is used.

The bodywork interface is prepared for mounting by being open to external CAN signals ex-works. This saves time for the bodybuilder.

Configuration of bodywork interface: mixer 01

Preparation for bodybuilder to connect a control panel at the rear frame end.

The preparation includes:

  • Programming in the bodywork communication interface of the start and stop engine functions and 3 selectable engine speeds. Cable harness that can be connected to the control panel is prepared for the rear frame end.

Selectable engine speeds that can be controlled from the control panel are:

  • 950
  • 1 300
  • 1 500

Prepared cable harness for working lamps is connected to the control panel in the door on the driver's side.

Configuration of bodywork interface: mixer 02

Preparation for bodybuilder to connect a control panel and working lamps at the rear frame end.

The preparation includes:

  • Programming in the bodywork communication interface of the start and stop engine functions and 3 selectable engine speeds. Cable harness that can be connected to the control panel is prepared for the rear frame end.
  • Cable harness with 24 volts and ground connection for working lamps is prepared for the rear frame end. The cable harness is also connected to a switch in the cab.

Selectable engine speeds that can be controlled from the control panel are:

  • 950
  • 1 300
  • 1 500
  • 1 500

Tail Lift

Configuration of bodywork interface: Tail Lift

Preparation in the bodywork interface for the safety function that prevents the engine starting if the tail lift is open.

If the tail lift is inoperative, the immobiliser can be deactivated. To deactivate the immobiliser, apply the parking brake and depress the brake pedal while holding the starter key in the start position for 30 seconds.
