BODYBUILDER REQUIREMENTS

All bodybuilding and conversions must be carried out in accordance with Scania’s bodywork instructions given on this website.

If there is a need for a solution not covered in the Scania bodybuilding instructions, it is required to retrieve an approval from a Scania dealer before the bodybuilding or conversion starts.

The dealer will apply to Scania for approval of the bodywork design. Approval is required in order for the factory warranty to apply.

This applies both for new and used vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS FOR DOCUMENTED INSPECTION

For every bodybuilding and conversion work, the bodybuilder must certify that the bodywork and bodybuilding has been carried out in accordance with Scania’s bodybuilding instructions in order for the Scania factory warranty to apply.

This can be done by using the  quality and safety inspection, as well as the declaration of conformity, available in the bodybuilder information.

It is possible for bodybuilders to use their own inspection documentation after it has been approved by Scania.

Declaration of Conformity

The DoC can be digitally signed with a mobile phone or printed and signed manually.
